With the COVID-19 Pandemic running rampant, many people are looking for real ways to make money from home.
We are staying in the house as much as possible. This can be difficult to do when you still have bills to pay and you work outside the home.
There are many who were already working from home so the lockdown is not impacting that part of their life.
So you want to know how to make money from home.
You’ve probably already done some research on real ways to make money from home. Maybe to your surprise you realize there’s a lot to it now.
There are a whole lot of ways to make money from home. I’m going to share with you some jobs and careers you can pursue. You will be able to work these jobs from home.
While I do my best to research everything I share here, it is important that you do your own research as well.

1. Bookkeeper

Bookkeeping has been around for a long time.
A bookkeeper is someone who helps manage your finances. They prepare your accounts and document daily financial transactions.
According to the Salary website, as of April 27,2020, the average bookkeeper salary in the United States is $43,509.
You can find job listings for bookkeepers on sites such as Flexjobs, Indeed, and Zip Recruiter.
Before applying, make sure the job is a remote or work-from-home opportunity.
You may wonder what kind of experience or training you need to be a bookkeeper.
The good news is that you don’t need to have an accounting degree.
Bookkeepers don’t quite do as much as accountants.
Therefore, you can become a bookkeeper without a degree.
2. College Instructor

There are a lot of colleges hiring for instructors.
The good news is that the majority of these jobs are now remote positions.
How much you can earn from working as a college instructor varies.
What I do know is that most online professors work on a contract and are paid per course.
GetEducated says that online instructors are paid between $1,500 to $2,500 per semester-long course.
As a college student, I’ve had instructors tell me that they are conducting several courses at once.
This means that there is a good earning opportunity for online instructors.
Another thing I’ve noticed as a college student is that many instructors don’t put their eggs in one basket.
They tend to have more than one job.
For example, I had an instructor who was also a NYPD detective. Another one of my instructors worked as a doctor at a mental hospital.
Being a college instructor can be a busy career.
Do the math and decide if what you’ll be earning is enough alone to pay your bills.
If not, you should look into some side hustles that really pay.
You can find online college instructor jobs on the websites of online colleges.
A lot of things are online now so you may be able to get a remote position with a local college.
3. Pinterest Virtual Assistant

You’ve likely heard of a virtual assistant and we’re going to talk about that later.
Right now, I want to share with you a certain type of virtual assistant job that is on the rise.
I know this because I have done research and have even considered hiring one for my own business.
A Pinterest Virtual Assistant is someone who manages Pinterest for a living.
Pinterest, if you don’t know, is a very powerful search engine.
Many business owners utilize Pinterest for getting traffic to their blogs and websites.
To truly be successful on Pinterest, you have to be actively involved.
Making pins, pinning those pins to relevant boards, and re-pinning the content of others.
Running a business is a lot of work by itself. Throw in the maintenance of Pinterest and you have complete chaos!
You can find Pinterest VA jobs by promoting your services on social media and within forums like Quora.
The Purpose of a Pinterest Virtual Assistant
So many business owners are already drowning in work. They can’t afford to stop what they’re doing and take on Pinterest.
In comes the Pinterest Virtual Assistant to the rescue.
Your job will be to make new pins, re-pin content, and pin new pins to new boards on a regular.
The main purpose of a Pinterest VA is to help clients manage their Pinterest and grow.
It helps if you have experience with Pinterest and know how to grow a profile efficiently.
That’s what the clients are paying you for.
How Much You Can Earn
I know you’re wondering how much all of this pays.
Most people who work as Pinterest Virtual Assistants start their own business and thus are able to set their own prices.
How much you’re able to earn from this job is dependent upon a lot of factors.
Your level of experience, level of expertise, services offered, the level of client you plan to work with all plays a part in your price.
Fitnancials states that most Pinterest VAs start at $15 per hour and can easily average over $30 to $50 per hour or even more over time.
With enough clients, you can be making a full-time income just from this Pinterest VA business alone.

Based on a graph on the sendible website, the more years of experience equals more pay.

As you can see, a social media manager can make on average between $40,000 and $70,000.
The motivating factor is how many years you have in the game.
If you are just entering a field it may be possible to earn top dollar.
But chances are you’re going to have to work for it.
Requirements
You don’t have to have a degree to become a social media manager.
However, you do need to have working knowledge of social media.
If you’ve never used social media a day in your life, this may not be the job for you.
I’m not saying that you can’t learn social media because you can.
So don’t be discouraged if you don’t have any experience with social media.
If being a social media manager is something you really would like to do, start learning.
That means invest in your education by purchasing courses and ebooks on social media.
You probably don’t want to spend money on something that hasn’t started paying off.
If that is the case then you should consult all of the free resources that can help you learn social media.
On top of everything else, create social media accounts for yourself or your business.
Take the time to experiment with these websites. Learn as much as you can.
Figure out what works and what doesn’t.

To become a transcriptionist you need to be a good typist.
Most businesses will want you to type at least 65 wpm.
Some companies will also want you to have a foot pedal and transcription software such as Express Scribe.
How Much You Can Earn
Transcribers are usually paid by the audio minute or hour.
Meaning, if you work 6 hours a day, you aren’t actually paid for each of those hours that you worked.
You are paid based on how much work you get done within that time frame.
Let’s say it takes you 6 hours to transcribe 1 hour of audio, you will be paid for that 1 hour. Not the 6 hours.
There may be some transcription jobs that pay hourly but most of them don’t.
Some of these companies also pay per page.
I recently did work for a company that paid 1.10 per page.
Of course that was shortlived because I was working all day and not making hardly any money.
I definitely ain’t got time to be making pennies.

Some things that you can sell on Etsy are: I am going to do an entire post on things you can sell on Etsy and how to get started with this platform and I’ll link it here. Printables are easy and fun to create and you can sell them on your Etsy. I sell printables on my Etsy and I’ve really been enjoying making them. Etsy isn’t the only place you can sell printables. You can also sell them directly on your personal blog or website. A dropshipping store is a really good idea. You can find items to dropship and make a good profit from them. For example, I have a planner business and I use dropshipping for this online store. This way you don’t have to package and ship anything yourself. There are some companies that will hire payroll clerks to handle paying their employees. If you don’t mind being in charge of money this is the job for you. Being a freelance writer takes a little bit of writing skills. If you are willing to learn you could rock it as a freelance writer! Technical writing is so much more different from creative writing. You should definitely receive some kind of training before taking on a technical writer job. It is even better if you find a company that is willing to train you. Blogging is a very lucrative career. And yes, you can get rich as a blogger. Most bloggers monetize their blogs in different ways. Getting paid to write blog posts is pretty awesome, is it not? It’s not a ‘get rich quick scheme’ though. Making money from blogging takes a lot of hard work. I am working on an entire blog post on how to start a blog and make money from it. There are many people making a full-time income from blogging alone. As a blogger it’s good to have several income streams. Affiliate Marketing is one of the more common income streams. There are some people making a few hundreds to a few thousand dollars from affiliate marketing. Others are making $50,000 – $100,000 every month and maybe even more. If you are a blogger or a coach, you can create online courses around what you already teach. As an editor you get to choose what kind of jobs you will take on. An inspection of your kitchen where you will be cooking will have to be done. If everything passes you can cook and sell plates right out of your home. A website tester looks at websites and uses them. Then they report what they liked about the website and what could be better. You can totally be a website tester! I’ve done it before and it was surprisingly interesting. You use social media anyway, why not get paid to make sure everyone is behaving. Group owners and social media CEO’s will pay to have someone moderate their online environments. This one may seem out of place on the list but it’s not. If you live with someone who is disabled you can get paid to care for them. You can become a caregiver. In most situations, you go to the other persons house to babysit their children. Well, if you have younger siblings or live with any younger kids, you could get paid to babysit. I’m not saying you have to charge your loved ones to babysit your nieces and nephews or younger siblings. However, they may readily and willing do so to help you make some extra cash. You don’t have to charge a lot. Some companies hire for quality assurance agents. What you do is listen to calls and rate them. You have to make sure that the calls meet the standards of the company. You can be a virtual assistant for practically any work that a business or entrepreneur needs done. Just some of the things could be responding to emails, posting on social media, and answering phones. To develop a website you definitely need to be familiar with different platforms and coding.
